(since new patch)
It seems like ever since the new patch for Half Life came, when ever I play, the game is choppy in motion. It was doing great until that patch but I was wondering if this was happening to anyone else or if there is an (EASY) way of fixing the choppy play or... whatever.

I have somewhat the same thing. Isn't that bad so I haven't tried to fix it, but you can check Planet Half-Life.

Well i get good fps but for some reason every now and again half crashes to desktop and evrything freezes, its very annoying. Have you tried the ati_npatch 0 thing yet? I worked for me from getting my poor 10 fps to a amazing 30

I used the "-nocdaudio" parimator for Half Life and it seemed to have helped a bit with it, but where is this patch you speak of?
(PS - ever since the patch, although it wasn't really -important- persay, but the sky off all the maps have gone all screwy, I can remember this happening in a TFC patch update with one of the maps, it's like that but on all of the normal maps is there something I can get to fix it like how there was one that fixed that TFC patch?)

If you (like myself) had a ati brand card(such as radieon rage pro etc) and you downloaded the patch so you wouldnt overflow everytime you joined then you can use this.
When playing a game put in
ati_npatch 0
It fixes something or other and boost fps. Not sure if it always works tho

i think they put it in this new release regardless if you downloaded the ATI patch, I was checking my CS config and I think I saw it, but it was put to 1, I just put it to 0, and performance is exactly the same as with the previous version, 40 fps max

If your computer was made by someone like Gateway or Dell, you get the patch off of their site.

If they didn't make the computer and/or you put the card in yourself, you can probably get the patches at www.ati.com.
