A Few Questions

info_node
do i have to make any brush work, or is that included witht the entity?
Info_Node_Air:
what exactally does this do?, does it replace an Env_Smoke for the little whisper comming out of the node?

Start points:
do i have to define the node that a hive/CC starts out with?

Marine V Marine:
is it supported yet?
if no;
{is there an eta on the arrival?
if yes;
{what are the rules on distinguishing the different entities needed for a CC center??

Random:
can i have teams start out with buildings already made?

ps. sorry for the list of random questions, i'm a semi experianced mapper, and i don't need to know how to make a brush, or what me errors mean, but that's all you've got in your faq's and tutorials....some of us would like a little mroe technical explenation of the entity library included in the config files....

    Info_node and info_node_air are standard HL entities to help monsters navigate. I think you want the func_resource point entity (which creates it's own model).

    Hives and the CC create their resource gatherers at the closest func_resource.

    I'll add a note to the quickstart guide (link in the FAQ).

    No Marine VS Marine yet and no ETA.

    As far as I know there is no way to start out with premade buildings.

    It's planned for some point in the future, but no ETA yet. They're more concerned with balancing and perfecting the game as it is NOW without having to worry about marine vs. marine battles <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    and llama, thanks for finishing/understanding the algorithm for me....nice touch on your part......

    the questions popped up as i was converting a CS map over to Ns.... this is gunna be fun revamping everything for the NS mod... but it CAN (hopefully) be done....


    i've at least got the ready room done, and sad to say, it's better looking than the rest of the map.... :* (
