About the hl 1109 patch ...

but then hl crashes when i try to join a server, not even sp or hazard course works <!--emo&:(--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('><!--endemo-->

i use 466mhz (overclocked to 800), 64 mb ram, voodoo 3 2000 16 mb


i think it has somthing to do with the client dll

i would really apreciate if anybody can help

i have tried to uninstall and install the full 1109 patch, didnt make any difference

im very sad now

    Try not to overclock your cpu, ocing makes your system unstable and some programs will crash, have you updated all your drivers (vid card, directX, etc.)

    All the 1109 problems I've seen thus far have been sound/sound settings/soundcard related. Sierra now has an 1109 bug report forum going at the sierra site, try browsing around there.

    have all the newest drivers for everything

    btw infect0r, my huge OC isnt a prob since nothing else is unstable, NOTHING

    but it crashes when i try to connect to a server or create a game, sp included

    it doesnt even get to the point where it should load the client.dll file

    it only gets time to create a log file, but i cant find that log file

    It took me about 36 hours to install the patch to the point at which it would work. It turns out that all I had to do was turn my DivX sound acceleration all the way up, and it works perfectly now. <!--emo&:(--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('><!--endemo-->

    client dll problems are almost always with not having the latest patch. but if you tryed reinstalling, im not sure. you downloaded and reinstalled the FULL patch and not 1.0081.009, right? and MY half life 1.009 dont work because i downloaded the english version but according to the error message my half life is the version. thats right, the " " version. blank. i jus wanna know why its speaking ENGLISH then.

    no worries, i just found out the solution for my prob

    i just added -insecure -console to my shortcut

    note: -dev will make it crash again so dont use it as well
