thx mayberrygames for hosting my map

big changes are:
all important locations have names
a second acces to controll room hive
no more double res node
a long vent with 3 entrances
one vent has a third entrance
there should be sounds at hive but they are not loud enough.. i dont know
some details (pipes, wires)
one room competly changed (yes, the ugly dark room) now there is a resource node

you should cahnge the marines start, it's very hard to defend, a fade/lerk can just take down the base and turrets wont shoot him because he is far away...

I would pay attention to texturing. There isn't simply enough variation and the whole map looks the same. Add more well detailed rooms like Pipe room and that should help. Also the distance between Controll(is it spelled controll instead of control on purpose) and Ventilation Hive seems to be rather long compared to the distance between Ventilation and Water hives. One other thing that struck out was that there are two main bottlenecks that marines have no way to get around.

But all in all it looks good. I would however rethink the layout from both teams' perspectives. Those two bottlenecks concern me a bit since they can potentially limit marine movement drastically. I can't remember their names, but the other one was the hallway leading west from Big room and the other a cramped resource nozzle south of Big room. Keep working on it, since it has lots of promise.

jea, im planing to add a third way in the middle of the map(look on the minimap, there is just a vent). Thats for beta 3 or 4.

The installer is a wise installer EXE that I packaged using WISE installbuilder 7.04

I have packaged over 160 maps for mayberry and have *never* had any problems. (exept for a wrong name on the title box for the installer <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--> )

These installers will locate where you have Half life or retail Counterstrike is installed on either a single login machine (win 9x) or a multi login machine (win2k, winXP) and will backup any map files that it replaces into a backup directory of your choosing.

I keep my AV software DAT files updated on a weekly (sometimes more) basis.

I stand by these installers as have thousands of people who have downloaded and used these installers.

I would suggest that you try the installer and if you do not like it, then there are zip files available but once you try the installer, I feel that you will find that it makes life so much easier.
