Gmax Workarounds

<div class="IPBDescription">trying to find a way to get it to work</div> The original models request thread made me ponder GMAX again, and I was wondering if anyone knows how easy it'd be to model something for a gmax-supported game, then convert it to HL using Milkshape.

Any ideas?

    I converted RtCW models using GMax to export them as Q3 files [certain importer plug-ins were required, though], then importing in to Milkshape for export as HL files. It's possible. You'll need the Q3 stuff for GMax to do that. Search for it on Google.com. That's how I found it. There may be an easier way, but I found this method to be worth the effort.

    you will need teh tempest pack from the same page as where you dled gmax. Then just do what wolf said to convert stuff thru gmax.
