<div class="IPBDescription">They're fun and they're free</div> OK here's the topic where you can look for a nice demo to download + play to pass the time.

Post your opinions, views etc and not forgetting links to cool demo's.

I'll get the ball rolling with these 2:

No One Lives Forever Demo.
====================
<a href='http://www.noonelivesforever.com/downloads/' target='_blank'>http://www.noonelivesforever.com/downloads/</a>
Very cool demo, take on the role of Cate Archer, sexy 60's secret agent.
Lotsa guns, and the demo actually contains quite a few levels (multi and single player)

Uplink Demo
=========
<a href='http://www.introversion.co.uk/uplink/demo.html' target='_blank'>http://www.introversion.co.uk/uplink/demo.html</a>
Probably the smallest demo ever to grace demo's. (about 3 meg) Don't let the size put you off, it's a
VERY good game, very addictive.
You take on the role of a Hacker, breaking into systems, deleting/copying/stealing files, giving people new I.D's and more. Well worth some Hard-Drive space.

Post your fave demo's. Try to link to a Homepage if possible and not the .exe / .zip for bandwidth and security reasons.

    I just thought I'd mention NOLF and Uplink as they're
    bother superb games 3 years on.
    Oh and the IGI2 demo is quite good. Check out the
    CodeMasters site or #igi2 on Quakenet for info

    NOLF2 is AWESOME. Best SinglePlayer FPS since Deus Ex or Half-Life. The first NOLF isn't as good, but is still above most other games.
    I highly recommend the AquaNox2 demo, however, it is in German and has very steep system requirements.
    The Battlefield 1942 demo is cool, though limited to one level.

    Impossible Creatures:
    ===============
    I thought it was quite good. Nothing special and a tedious voice in the Tutorial.
    Was almost a 300 meg download. Not bad, seen better,
    Only download if you're REALLY into RTS games.
