Ok all i have is Counter-Strike (retail)
Does that mean i cant use this mod?

no it doesn't mean you can't use it (double negative).  Have you tried playing other mods with counter-strike?  They should all work... I think

well some do like AHL and others but a couple 1 players like ADAM dont.

Umm, if you have Counter-Strike, then you have Half-Life. Counter-Strike and Natural Selection are mods for Half-Life. All mods require Half-Life to run.

No dude listen i dont have counter-strike(mod version)
I have counter-strike Reatail(meaning i bought i didnt download it) version meaning it doesnt need half-life!

Actually, I've had this problem with Sven. It doesn't like loading in to the CS folder. I think they're just wondering whether it will be a problem with NS. (And so am I.)

well i got seven to work(after some hard work) but hes right i had trouble with it too.

adam won't work for you because it's a single player mod. You need normal Half Life to play it.

I was unaware that the retail version of Counter-Strike didn't require Half-Life. That explains the lack of TFC players these days.

ive goten other single player mods to work
ex:1.They Hunger
  2.Time line(or sometin like that)
and some others

how did u try?
if u install then run from there shortcut it wont work but if you go to custom in counter-strike and change to it it should work(but maybe not)
But no one has told me yet.
Is it gonna work?

<b>Yes</b>, NS works with CS retail. The NS installation package makes sure of that for you.

the problem with some single player mods is that they look for  a .dll in the half-life folder that doesnt exist in CS retail (i think its the cl_dll folder, not sure though). so if you get a friend who has halflife to send this dll over to you it will work (fixed this for a friend a while ago) the reason some single player will work is because they have their own dll (like Thy Hunger, to cope with its new weapons)
