    It was the placeholder for alien v_models - modelled by Bathroom Monkey after a source of inspiration he refuses to tell.

    Amongst others. The first three Playtest builds (I believe) had no other alien viewmodels whatsoever.

    more fun for ya, paq, check out the model chemlab, same dir. Thats right, the turret factory used to be a humble chemlab <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->. the only thing different from chemlab and turret factory (that i can see) is an extra "create" animation for the chemlab.

    other fun things to see are the many death animations, that for some reason ive never been able to see in game.

    I thought they were Gorge arms. If you look at the beta test pictures, you can see a gorge with "arms" like this instead of what he has now.

    Yeah, old placeholder art. Those were done long before we even had the concepts for what the aliens would look like, and they were used for all the aliens, so they weren't meant to be for any specific alien type.

    Question - How do you configure model viewer to view NS models? I have it working fine for CS models, but NS ones give me an illegal operation error.

    Help. plz?
