<div class="IPBDescription">And neither am i (2 crappy pix)</div>I know i haven't posted any shots in a long time, but thats not because I haven't been working on the map.  I've been working on it's performance, cutting down on r_speeds, clipnodes, max entities, max planes and other things that can't really be shown with visuals.  But I had an inspiration for my commander console and here it is.  It looks like it's glowing in the first pic because it's in USE.  When it's not in use the door opens (which you can see from the second pic)

    -edit- I wonder if there is a better texture to use for the outside/inside. That one seems a tad undetailed. Or even two different textures, one for the outside (probably the that's on there now), and a seperate one for inside.

    I think that some caution strips around... the opening... thing... eh (Sorry, very tired and sick).

    Very cool idea. Second pic looks kinda messed up, could be just an odd angle. Hell, it's a sphere... I couldn't imagine making that. Nice work.

    it looks really nice... but one thing bothers me... didnt flay said 'no outside maps please'? how are you going to handle this... because this looks really nice and beautifull and stuff..

    That does look very interesting.  However, I had always thought that the command center would be somewhere on the inside of your map.  <!--emo&???--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'><!--endemo-->

    Don't get me wrong though, that thing is pretty cool, and I'd certainly like to see it in action.

    mmmm, there are intersecting brushes in the background of the 1st shot. I like the idea, but as someone has already said you need a new texture for inside.

    doesnt the command center have to be relatively accessable (not sealed in) so the aliens can actually destroy it?

    it would be cooler if you made it smaller and put some sort of chair in the lid, that way when it opens there's a chair for the commander to sit on,if you know what I mean.

    Hey Its pretty cool but what i don't like is that its stand(the sphere) on that litle tiny support... so i think its would kick more ### if that sphere/commander mod could be in the midle of a low gravity room something like that.. anyway great brush work <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

    it looks great though its placement in the map isnt quite clear.  It appears to be on the edge... isnt that gonna be hard for the aliens to get at?  The console itself looks good though.

    While I think it has excellent brush work and texturing, I dont seem to realize the purpose of it, or the purpose of it in that location.

    Yeah, it's a unique and interesting idea and all, but I just don't see it as being something that would lend itself well in the final product.

    Oooh... now what about a command tower on the facade of the structure out there...?
