I think I have seen an optical mouse from the 1980's. It had a special metal mousepad, and it wouldn't work if you took it off of it. It also had a strong laser and a warning label against shining it in your eye. It was really cool, but I was like eight.

There is only ONE advantage with wheely mouses over optical mouses(I dont have one <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->), you can go into SUPER SPIN EXTRA FUN MODE!!!!! Howto: Enter any server. Remove ball from mouse, and place your primary non-thumb finger over the left-right wheel. Place it so the tip of your finger has a grip on the top of the wheel. Then pull out your finger in such a way that the wheel spins! If it would have been possible in HL, the resulting spin would have caused a tornado. Anyone who has a wheel mouse, try that, its actually fun spinning like that! The new logitech MX line of optical mice are said to be more accurate than most "normal" mice, haven't tried them myself though. I currently have a logitech iFeel optical mice, doesn't have any "serious" problems.
Im actually against the blocking of anything but resource towers around the nozzel. Bear with me for a second before you flame. One of my favorite tricks as a gorge is to plop down the res tower in its spot, then throw a offense tower right on top of it and a couple defense towers around the base or nearby behind a wall. Heres why, res towers have alot more health than a offense chamber, offense chambers on res towers have a good clear line of fire over most nearby structeres, another OT at the base ensures it wont just get knifed, 2 or 3 def chambers into the mix and you have yourself a fortified res tower able to keep a LMGer or two busy long enough to rescue the tower. If you take away the ability to build on or near the node then youll only have the res tower there and youll need to put up a WALL of towers to block it off instead of just 1 or 2.
Second reason: peeps dont accidently put down towers in a res towers spot, only people i have EVER seen do this did it on purpose, if they arent screweing aliens on res nodes then they are screwing them some other way (sense first, offense towers in vents, berzerk gorging), people will grief one way or another and there are far worse things that they will be doing than this.
I've accidentially built an OC on a res nozzle twice. Trust me, it WAS an accident, mouse jerked the wrong way and OOPS! Up a OC goes and I can just stare at it while trying to kick myself inna teeth. Which is hard.
