Best Use For A Lerk On Ns_caged?

<div class="IPBDescription">...</div> I've found that hiding in the vent into the marine base and chuckling at random and spiking everything you can see (my priority is the phase gate, if any. severely hampers marine movement, which = good) works to keep at least one, maybe two or three marines occupied at the base instead of out killing your broodmates. Once you get the second hive, get adrenaline and someone to join you and provide umbra cover while you spike anything and anyone you see. Third hive, of course, you let the marines discover exactly why you were chowing down on refried beans in the readyroom..

So, without me going off on a tangent, what do you folk consider to be the best use for the Lerk on ns_caged?

    Thats why I love ns_cahed soo much ... cause of that vent ... you get regen and your fine ... I evolved into a fade there once and 5 marines kept looking to kill me .... even as a skulk I chuckle like crazy @ them and a few marines always waste time trying to kill me LOL ...

    If you have enough res make a few DCs there then go lerk/fade/gorge(FOR BABBLER KILLS) lol its soo funny we had 3 hives and there were like 20 babblers in their base ... 6 babbler kills 4 meh <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    If marines have taken sewer hive, get up in the rafters as a lerk (or a skulk, then evolve to lerk). You can often find a good position to spike their buildings from (when the marines are elsewhere). A patient lerk can clear out an occupied hive and turn the game around.

    Also, if the sewer-vestibule vent is welded a lerk is often able to fly straight through the marine base and into the vent, from where you can merrily evolve into a fade and cause even more havoc. That vent is a nightmare for the marines.

    hmmm seems like you ugys are using the lerk for all the wrong reasons... use your umbra... fly down cast it around teh tf and bite... no more turret factory so its free reign... i would wait to spike a marine... you can bite on to death with 2 chomps... fly at a high speed at the rine, one bite, his vision is skewed then fly around and bite again, and he's gone... for caged i play lerk to fast patrol the map... its easy to use the vents on that map to check all the hives in a quick run. I dont bother waiting in a spot for the marine to come to me... i find him and take him down quick

    I stick with my Fades when I'm Lerking and use my speed to check for open Hives and to stop some lone jetpacker trying to knife one of our hives

    yes, Lerks are the best ever

    PS: Umbra + Bite <i>is</i> great for taking out turrets and factories
