Question About How The No-hive Timer Works?

<div class="IPBDescription">I thought it worked differently...</div> The other night we had a no hive victory, which of course was really really sweet.
But, the confusing part was that when our first hive was destroyed, we had a gorge drop a second hive at another location. Shouldn't this have stopped the timer?
In any case, the timer kept going, and my entire team died, except for me... one lone skulk with two def chambers, heh. I managed to survive until the hive built, and the timer stopped.
Anyways, just let me know if that's right, or wrong. Because I know another game I played I was the gorge that dropped a hive after the first was killed, and the timer DID stop. So...

i watched a fade die in about 30-50 secs after the timer started and he was near 3 def chambers.
One DC will almost if not keep one person at full health, while two will slowly heal the player.
