If You Are Losing As Marines

The only thing more satisfying than taking out a hive with a jetpack and welder when the fades are occupied elsewhere is taking out the ability for the marines to stay in the game when they are doing a mad marine rush on your hive. Something that is devastating on servers with huge numbers of players as the aliens are stuck in the skulk respawn que from hell very quickly.
if they have fades you played too defensivly. In 1.03 the key to marine victory is stoping the aliens from getting hive 2. Not by locking down but by going on a gorge hunt or by rushing. If you let them get hive 2 you should be dead. Smart fades get a lerk and kill the base.
lol
Of course, a smart comm in that situation would drop 2-3 IPs and a CC right there where they're attacking that only hive. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
Heh, that happened in a game we were playing. It was on Caged, and we had been taking a hive just as they took one of ours. In the end, someone said "F*** it, let's rush their base!" We all charged in as skulks, to find NO defence. We munched the phase, then the IPs. Then the com said "F***ing n00b marines!" and left the server. After a volley of "WTF!?"s from the marines, we finished off their base, and ran back to our hive, where the remaining marines (a series of offence towers whittled them down) tried to take out our hive. Although they had HA/HMG, most didn't have ammo. It was quite funny to see these behemoths try to knife us. We won!
