Good Short Tips For Newbies

Ok the purpose of this thread is to just give short little tips to newbies, not long thought out srategies. So if you have a few suggestions post them here. Please refrain from posting anything that could be too controversial to avoid possible flaming. And please hold any useless posts like "wow thats a good one". Lets try to keep this one uncluttered.
ok here's my little tips for newbies
1. When your team is fighting hard for a certain area and every second counts DONT stand around the armory and fill up on ammo. Just spawn, jump through the phase gate (or walk if there is no phase yet) and start firing.
2. Learn to kill yourself. You can kill yourself by bringing down your console (by default it's your "~" key) and typing the word kill and then hitting enter. Killing yourself has some very good uses in NS unlike the real world.
- ammo. All out? just kill yourself and you will respawn with 100 lmg bullets and 20 pistol bullets
- health. only got 4 hitpoints left? kill yourself. you'll come back with full heatlh. that's alot easier than wasting 4 resources by asking your commander for health
- stuck. you'll get stuck in this game alot. you'll get built on, you'll phase as someone else phases, you'll fall into map glitches, and much more. so if you need to get out, kill yourself.
- parasite. nothing sucks more than a whole team of marines getting wiped out on their secret sieging mission because one newbie was parasited. Don't cost your team thier lives. Either run off in a different direction to lure the enemy away or .... kill yourself.
*use your head on some of these tips. Sometimes it's better not to kill yourself if you are wearing 70 resources points worth of equipment.*

Keep your pistol on "last used weapon". it takes a few seconds to reload your lmg. you are usually dead before its done. many times that skulk only needs one more bullet in his head to finish him off. Practice unloading your lmg clip and then IMEDIATELY switching to your pistol. You really need to get used to it.
