<div class="IPBDescription">missing file</div> hi,im new to the forums.As my first post,I was wondering if you guys can help me with a problem i am having.I recently downloaded the aliens smartgun,but i did not like it.So,I deleted it and let the server I would connect to later replace the hmg files i removed with the original files by downloading them to me when i connected. The server did this,and i played most of the game without a hitch.BUT when the commander put down a hmg the game crashed and said it could not find some hmg file(like v_hmgT or something)this has prevented me from playing the game fully and really annoyed me as i have been trying to solve the problem.In conclusion,can anyone post a link for the original hmg model or e-mail it to me at erickfroede@yahoo.com.thanks in advance guys!

The easiest way to replace files you customize is to have a "virginal" back-up folder containg -all- the default NS stuff. If you didn't do that, reinstall NS to an other folder somewhere and use that as your complete back-up. Copy-paste messed up files back to the NS folder you play from.

dosent work if u try to install to another folder i already tried it needs a valid HL or CS installed to work

Then change the name of your existing NS installation, install it to the default NS folder, copy what you need to the old folder, rename the new folder to something else, rename the old folder back to NS.

Surge

The v_hmgT.mdl file is the texture. You need that for the textures to work. It's on models that don't have the textures right on the original .mdl file.

Only a few of the w_models have seperate textures.
