Being Commander

Hi, I've just started Natural Selection and I am liking the game. I know pretty much about everything except being a commander. I know how to build buildings and research armor or guns upgrades but how do u set waypoints to go somewhere and guard something and build structures at a waypoint. Can someone please tell me how?

select your players and right click on the ground/building /etc

Ok, but wut if my team is a 8 player team. Do I have to one by one select them?

I <i>think</i> you can drag-select, so wait until they are clustered and then tag them all.
