Yes Yes Turrets Are Useless Sometimes

<div class="IPBDescription">but not all the time</div> I think the constant preaching of turrets are useless are screwing people up. Yes building them in the beggining is a waste (unless you have a small team and base is getting attacked constantly. But the constant preaching against them have made some commanders stingy about using them at all. Times to use them are when your marines can't aim, or they are getting rushed constantly, giving marines time to stop what they are doing and jump through a phase to stop an attack. I was in a game with a commander who I guess wanted to fight every hive away from the aliens. I think we secured engine room, and me and another guy build nodes a. processing then snuck into feedwater while it was empty, and told the commander to drop a phase. Down comes a resource node, then phase, then nothing at all. We would ask for a turrets every minute, but the commander didn't care if he lost feedwater apearently. So me and the guy got killed by two sculks (I can't hit a sculk that's jumping around and attacking me yet), then I yelled for help, jumped through the portal and got sculked in the back. I could go on but you know what happens. They took the hive. Then the commander went around having his fun sieging every base, while we were fighing off fades which they shouldn't have had. I never knew why we didn't get engine room, no one else came to feedwater, the aliens main hive was refinery, so I guess my team went to engine room then lost it. We won in the end, but it didn't have to take that long if they commander would have build turrets in the hives he took.
