    The one on the right looks pretty damn dim... is it off?

    oh, lights..sorry..
    um..kinda plain and boring...I mean...yeah, they're just lights, but this is Ns, they need some flair <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->

    Ok,
    I've been messing around with these for an hour now and I always end up with an orange circle in the middle. Any suggestsions? What kind of flair?
    Btw, coil: yes, the left one is supposed to look off.

    remove the light spot in the center the off-texture. otherwise it looks semi off.
    then keep that one as the semi off tex.

    And add some stripes or dots or something to make it look more detailed.

    /whooosshhh...

    Looks good shoven.

    As for the flair... I dunno. A light is a light. I really prefer very basic light textures that don't look funny when they are lit up. Too much "flair" can make a light texture look horrid once you add an entry for it in your .rad file.

    A little aging wouldn't hurt, but I'd use those without any reservations.

    I'd be interested in a texture that alternates unlit light panels such as those with metal fillers of the same size and shape. Maybe something in the 32x64 size... If you wanted to employ some more variation, I could even see 32x128.

    Then I can artificially light a panel here and there with additive brushes and light_spot placement.
