How Do I Do Fullbright?

and can I make only parts of it that?
I know that in MAX its just setting the texture as emissive but can someone explain how it works in halflife? You can get a nice "glowy" effect by having parts of the model in fullbright while the rest are normal. This isn't for some **obscenity** glowing marines that you can instantly see in the dark or anything.

Although it would be friggin' cool if they had little glowy lights on them and such.

maybe u can overlay your base texture on your model with additional layer that is set to fullbright.. i realised that some lights on the computers in game are floating.. its nearly not to see.. it looks like a transparent layer with those tiny lights on them..

no its most definately not, same thing with glass. hl engine uses an 8 bit pallette ergo no alpha channel magics like transparencies on models or glowing stuff (and i wonder why youd need glowing models? )
