<div class="IPBDescription">(strat on how to survive all alone)</div> Ch.1: the beginning
So here i am. all alone against 2 aliens. no one on my team. "great" i say to myself. i quickly hop into the command chair and drop a spawn portal. i hop out and build it. i hop back into the comm chair and place an rt, tf, and a cc into an empty hive (i scrolled over each one and placed them in a hive with no noise).
Ch.2: the journey
So here i am. crouching all the way to the hive so no one hears me. all of a sudden theres a gorge. i kill it quickly. "lol" i say. i quickly return to my journy of crouchingness. im almost there and i see the other player. skulk. yay. i shoot it. it bites me. i run out of ammo. i go pistol and kill it. yay. I notice the green goo around me and figure i might as well just run there now. i walk into the hive.
Ch.3: the new beginning
i quickly build the cc first and place a spawn portal and recycle my old one (i couldn't beleive my base was still there). i then hop out and finishe building everything else. i then got 6 turrets up around my base. one hive down, 2 to go.
Ch.4: the assault
After several failed attempts at an assault, i placed tf and cc outside one of their hives (i placed the cc so i wouldn't have to run all the way back to base to place turrets and upgrad my tf. i get there and start building the tf. i finish it and start the cc. right before i finish it a skulk kills me. after several times of trying to do that someone joins. yay.
Ch.5: a new companion
i spawn in and go comm. i then gave him a waypoint to set up another tf outside a hive. we almost ALMOST got it up and probably would have got it if he just kept building instead of sitting there for 2 minutes staring at the door. instead he gets skulked rushed on 2 sides.
Ch.6: more new friends to share the goodness of black screens.
about an hour into a game there was 10 people playing. yay. cept we then got fade bombed to hell. still it was fun.
and can anyone else here tell me the lesson learned here today.... errrr..... last night? I can. never give up, never surrender, theres still a chance to win instead of hitting f4. i hate it when people do that.

The strategy in this: If you wanna lose use goggles
The "wasted" part is usually enough for me to die a lot; don't think I need the goggles <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
o yah, and one person said on another thread having your cat on in front of your monitor is bad too.

1a. do you expect a rush for a fast win? then unless you are souper dooper, you better get in CC and make another base in an empty hive, like tall guy.
b. if you don't, or want to save 33 res, then hope for no rush.
2a. get to hive, build base like tall guy. but no so many turrets. build cc, spawn, tf, 3x tur, 1 res, 1 scan, 1 phase (CLOSE TO CC!) & 1 armory.
2b. build in base 1tf, 3x tur, armory, some mines, scan, phase.
3. scan for an empty res nearby. pop in a phase. run like heck, build phase.
4. use phase to save on running, get res up, tf, turr x3. DO NOT RUSH too fast, THINK placement. 3 sec extra thinking can save 30 sec of work lost/redone.
5. repeat 3-4 for a hive. unless #4 put the tf close enough to a hive to do a seige to hold it.
