New To Hammer, Ns Mapping

<div class="IPBDescription">what do i need to get started</div> ok, ive downloaded teh valve Hammer editor, had a quick browse through the tutorials, mucked about a bit with the tools and have imported the wad. files from the ns folder into the program..do i need anything else to get started on ns mapping? im sure i have....mmm..

    Setup NS in the Tool->Options->Game Configurations tab, spcifying the NS.FGD (it's in your NS Folder)

    I also recommend getting zoners half-life compile tools if you don't already have them.

    im having difficulty with the room scale though...i think my rooms are way to big...how can i find out how big to make the rooms?
    (argh n00b question...!)

    er..how big do you want them?

    An info_ player_start entity is about the same height as a marine, if that helps..plonk one down and use that as a reference point..
