<div class="IPBDescription">ns_Infinite</div> well although this is only the ready room, and i havent gotten the map planned out yet (prolly do that when im bored at my relatives on Xmas), i do know that everyone likes screenshots ! <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
pictures are dim cause i put the gamma high in anticipation for some light_environment stuff projected from a nearby nebula (nice pinky type colors that not too many maps have ever touched upon). Im not guarenteeing i will be able to actually finish the map but i just wanna let u guys know im starting it, and to see what u think of my mapping style.
I tried to help the pictures with photoshop auto gamma but it was off for every one. The room is dim, THE WHOLE MAP WONT BE LIKE THAT, but i want a calm type of room when u start off, just a personal type thing, i wanted it like that whether i have a reason or not.

shot of the entire joining area, i might put in some light shining from the nebula outside... i definately will in the map but i dunno if it will make everything all gross in here cause of the blue lighting. up top its hard to see but theres a caged in ceiling with cabling running throughout it, red glowing lights backlighting that area.

this shot looks twards the back of the room where u join a team. This is the most unfinished part of this room and there will be entrances on the left(Marines) and right(Aliens) of that center hallway(Spectaters). on the top of the pic is a caged in type ceiling with wires and some funky red light type things(not visible). If u just spawned in and look up into the caged ceiling u can see the human's somewhat unsightly cabling.

This is gonna be my first attempt at making a map to be released (if i actually finish it), im trying to "work with the textures" as u might have knoticed with the windows,stairs and hallways. I am sort of frustrated with the lack of textures to use, after doing this room there is maybe 5-6 sets of walls left that i can use for sections of the actual map.... the rest are just 1 shot type of a deal with no variations (different moldins or dents, etc.) which are almost useless when ur tryign to create flow for whole sections. repedativeness is usually bad <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->.

Apart from that the general talent shown here with brushwork and lighting certainly suggests that you are capable of creating a good map <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
