Do you get them?
I've been playing NS now for at least 8 hours a day. When I'm not playing, I can still hear all the sounds from the game, when I close my eyelids I can see see and hear spore clouds...

Anyone else get this?

I remember a little over a year ago when I was playing way too much Diablo 2... I remember that I would see wierd Diablo stuff every time I closed my eyes. There was this one wierd time where I went to kiss my girlfriend and when I closed my eyes I saw the health ball and mana ball, and they kept going down and refilling, and I had this irresistable urge to press the number keys to drink a potion from my belt, but I had no keyboard, and it was just generally really wierd.

When I play too many twitch-reflex games, walking down long corridors makes me turn around every 15 feet and I check my corners often (I've done this for a long time now, stupid #$@% CS). I don't bunny-hop when I'm in trouble though, so all this has done is made me more paranoid. *shrug* but it's always good to know what's going on in real life as well as during a game.

oh god, im not crazy, or at least, not alone.

Was at work, was walking to the bathroom, through the bussy station, and there was like 5 bins lined up in the way, not in a line or anything just randomly put, I immediately thought they were offence chambers (Dunno why, they dont look a thing like em, mustve been their placement) I remembered myself, closed my eyes and shook my head as i walked by thinking, "I play too much NS"

When i walk down a corridor i hear noises and screams like INCOMING! and screams for help and i try to pick up my Light Machine Gun but i can't find it... And i am sure i hear skulks climbing in the roof and i KNOW that there is an offense chamber behind that wall... And everytime i close my eyes i see that fade running towards me... Occasionally when I'm standing in a high place where I can see a large distance, I think, "Wow, that must have high r_speeds."

Nothing like that in particular yet with NS, but back when I played a thief in Morrowind, I'd go around in real life constantly scanning for things to steal. I almost pilfered a box of pencils from a classroom once before I realized what I was doing.
Woulda gotten away with it, too

After 6 hours of NS is when I start to hear alien voices echoing in my head.

    "We need builders!"

    What?

"I said could you empty the dishwasher please."

    Oh. Yes, Mom.

When i first got into pc gaming (starcraft) i could hear phrases from the game after i was done playing.

I swear i wanted to kill that game after i heard "Our Forces our under attack." for the umpteeth time.

Nothing on Ns yet, although i have thought of good turret placement in my house.

I keep hearing the offense chamber sound. Once I heard the "endgame music" sound.
when I played unreal tournament for the first time with the "playersonly" cheat (freezes all bots) it was very wierd when I got off the comp... seeing the other people moving around was very disorienting.

The two most heard noises in my head at the moment, are the crackle of the welding sound, and the dying sound of kharaa.

Before it used to be the gorge healing sound and the dying sound of marines. Probably because I play Kharaa more often than marines at the moment.

I also wish to set up offence chambers in my room, but I think my mom will be **obscenity** if I did.

I used to play a MMORPG game called 'Graal Online.' Anyway, I played the game quite often, and you hear a lot of the footstep sounds since there are a lot of people that walk by you. Well, after awhile even when the game was off I swear I could hear the footsteps for a second or two. It was quite odd...

I had a very weird dream a few nights ago. I was a member of the SG1 team (yeah ,i watched 3 Stargate series that night, played like 8 hours of NS in a LAN, read the once sticky topic "things that should never happen at NS" (or something like that...the post with these hillarious ideas like "wideload"-stickers on HA and the Fluff-o-matic Gun....) and was pretty wasted....) when me and Collonel O'Neill found a rather cute and fluffy looking Ono. We wanted to bring it back to earth and convinced everybody, that it was the neat toy to have. The ono kept running in circles and doing the primnal scream, but it was too small and .... well fluffy to be of any harm. We started to think about creating a world wide Fluffy-Ono-Toys-With-Real-Primal-Scream-Abillity franchise... Then I woke woke up and felt reeeeeaaaaallllyyy strange and had some serious thoughts about drug and PC Gaming abuse.

All in all, it was a nice experience.

Well, whatever you do... don't get it wet, and keep it away from bright light, especially sunlight - it'll kill him.

And the most important rule... no matter how much he begs, no matter how much he cries... never, EVER feed him after midnight.

I was walking back into my bedromm one night, after taking a leak, and my room is creepy, in the fact that my light causes things to be dark everywhere except the light, so the lgihting is like NS. Anyway, I'm walking into my room, and the downstair door opens, and when it does, it makes a Beep Beep, noise (stupid security system). Anyway, turns out my dog was underneath the bed, and she always runs downsairs when she hears it (she's a minature snausure, so she's a small dog). She bolts out from under my bed, and runs beneath my legs and down the stairs. Weird part about it was that in my head, it was still doing voices yelling for ammo, screaming, and then radio static, and then clattering of skulk feet on the ground. And the constant ambience of gunfire in my head. So when I see her run under my light extreamly fast, I instictivley jumped over her and went to pull out my pistol... I then ripped my pants pocket as I lifted the pistol to line up the first shot. What a good pair of Jeans, wasted.

I also see things really clearly in the night, for some reason. Hallucinations, I mean. I was coming back from downstairs, getting some food, and I walk into my room, and my monitor is casting light onto a Fade, just standing there, looking at my computer screen. I blink, and look at the wall, and there is no shadow, so I said "Ah screw it, I need a life", and just sat down. It stayed there the entire night, so whenever I would turn around, thered be drool and heavy breathing in my head. At one point, I tried to punch it in the face, after I got gang banged as a lerk by 3 marines with LMG's and Jetpacks.

Anyway... I think anyone who posted on this forum needs medical attention, including myself

Too add to the weirdness, whenever I play a lot of a game in one sitting, I suffer after effects.

Counter-strike. I recall waking up totally confused on where the hell I am, considering I was just raiding a facility and taking out some terrorists, that was last year. Now for natural-selection, I haven't had anything yet, but I know it's bound to happen. I also hate closing my eyes after I play a lot of DDR, because then all I can see are scrolling arrows and I get frustrated because I can't hit them.

yeah, I also get this reoccuring dream about making 10 dollars and sticking it in the jar next to my computer, it pisses me off because I keep thinking I have like 50 dollars in this jar and when I look at it there is only 5.

    whatever.

Way back in the day, when I was first playing the Half-Life deathmatch with friends (essentially my first fps experience), I had a friend who was uber good with the crossbow. One day at study hall in school, somebody's backpack shifted or fell or something, and it sounded EXACTLY like a crossbow bolt landing next to me. I hit the floor in the middle of all these people, scared shitless.

And one other time, I was driving home and saw a black object fly over and could have sworn somebody yelled "Fire in the hole!!!" Musta been a bird....

And lastly, having freaky dreams in derelict spaceships and aliens run around have been common too.
