    hmm i would like to help here.(me being a mapper and all)
    although it's a great idea like flay i doubt its feasability. but i am still willing to give it a try. but those scripted sequences may be a problem, considering my allergic reactions to them and such. <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->

    consider my services offered. i'll need a layout by the way

    Well, if you sealed off parts, you wouldn't need the whole part that was sealed off on the map. Just the part you could be in, and the parts in the sealed area that you could see.

    Training maps won't need to be extremely large though.

    This is an amazing idea. Being an aved roleplayer myself, I think this would be a great option for NS players. Those who aren't kool with it don't have to, they can just go on the usual servers and their thing there. You could mark these maps as rpg_trainingbase to let everyone know what kind of map it is.

    Of course, these maps don't actually have to be that big. I've seen some large Counter-Strike maps that run quite well, for instance. It's all the addidtional effects and whatnot that'll kill you mappers methinks.

    I'd love to see this done, whether you attempt it now or later. But like Flayra said, this will require a lot of planning and forethought. I propose that Jed create a team to think this through, and begin work to get this map into the testing stages.

    Mouse offered his services. Abuse it.  <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->
