Voogru's server is always full. He has coded checks to check for people removing animations (skulk biting and marine muzzle flash) which make is easier to kill. Admins are on and promote fair play and keep abuses down. I played a lot of other servers before Voogru's and now his is the only one I play on. Plain and simple.
Too many new people come to Voogru's server that play 5 minutes, offer no constructive criticism and leave. Natural selection has been modified by code. Even "simple" changed like Night vision goggles unbalance the balancing created by the makers of the game. It's not much good being a skulk with marines that can see you. Besides unless your gamma is all messed up most areas are visible and those that aren't can be easily lit up with you flashlight.
Health was already balanced without it being given out at armories. That is what the commander is for. Marines can get health anywhere in a level. Excluding regeneration aliens have to run way back to a hive or somewhere else severly slowing their progress.
If you plan on playing a fun game of NS I highly suggest you don't play on voogru modified servers.

well I just posted the link to the thread from your forum, and I read the whole thing myself, and I still don't see where it says in that thread, or in your explanation just now, any logical reasoning for it. no, I wasn't there, cause of that bug you guys got that apparently affects random people who join servers with your new approach to balance. it's alright, though. obviously people don't mind since it's always full, but I'll just stick to D&S
Along the lines of what Nemisis Zero said about locking these threads, it just seems silly to debate issues like this. It doesn't seem like Voogru is in any hurry to change his server back to the default settings, and the people that don't like what he has done can go play on another server.
I personally don't play on that server because of the upsets in balance. The fact of the matter is you can do things, strategy wise, that you cannot do on a standard 1.03 server. There is nothing wrong with this, apparently lots of people dig playing on Voogru's server, but I consider myself to be a serious player, and I don't have time to play around with new tricks and tactics that wont help me in a regular 1.03 game. I don't think there is anything wrong with the people that play there, I am sure they are having tons of fun, and really don't care about the people who say otherwise.
No one is being forced to play on that server, so why bother arguing about it?
ShuflY said it guys. The mods agree that there is really no point to these posts, they all eventually end up going down in flames. PLay if you want to, argue elsewhere (ie. right to voogru) if you don't like it, we don't need a war going on here. All voogru posts from now on will be locked.
