Two shots to compare the difference
This is actually from a little over a week, but the forums were down and I just found the pics, so bleh! :P

Just a little public service announcement to spread the joy and wonderment of S-Video. If your TV has an S-Video jack, and you have an X-Box, PS2, or GameCube, you have no excuse whatsoever to not be going to Wal-Mart this very second to pick up an S-Video cable. The jumpin quality is simply amazing. Basically, it doubles your horizontal resolution from 320x240 to 640x240. Remember TV has scanlines so its really like 480, not 240. :P

Here are some comparison pics I took w/ my crappy crappy crappy ATI TV card. If S-Video can make even this hunk of crap look halfway decent, imagine what it can do for an actual TV!

Hmmm, never thought about actually using the S-video on my dad's 61" TV. Maybe that's why it looked so crappy I'll have to try that, thanks!

I nominate this tip for "Tip of the Month"

Works great! And the price is right ($10)!

S-Video sucks comapred to RGB(Yes, Red Green Blue...) these type of connections are on high end stuff, usally used on projectors.

But, S-Video is a lot better than those rca cables.

(AFAIK No console has a RGB connection, sucks for console players with nice 6 foot screens and a projector )
