    Another thing is, the marines need the COMMANDER to supervise this siege-action, while aliens can operate alone.
    For example, while the marines are sieging main-hive early, 1 maybe 2 gorgs, (depends on the # of players)
    can head for the other hives, get them up. The skulks go fade and take back hive 3, while u loose another.
    THen u got all towers up, and u r ready for battle. I've won many alien-games with this strat.
    Ok, they can siege through walls, so what.
    Gorges can built multiple structures at the same time, and with 2 u can build at different locations at the same time, while marines 'll always need the commander to place things, and if they die, the buildings won't get finished and chomped, whie alienbuildings will finish themselves.

    on one hand you talked about carapace being cheap vs marines upgrade, then you talked about seige bases which cost even more than marine upgrades
    upgrade fact + phase + 2 seige + 4 turrets = 200ish?

    with those resources and the advantage you stated about carapace vs arms lab, shouldn't you either have fades or set up chambers at important locations by then?

    if you placed chambers where they need to set seiges to get your hives, then they would need to seige your chambers before setting up seige on your hive..?
