Petitiion To Lower Alien Spawn Times

Basically, its becomming impossible to play alien on larger servers, even servers with 8 players a side its bad. The marines just walk casually to the alien spawn killing skulks along the way, soon a huuuuuuuuuuuuge backlog of spawning aliens buiids up and they just shoot the hive, or drop a phase. This is especially bad on smaller maps.

Please can we have a show of hands of those who agree this is a problem.

I suggest lowering by 20% at least.

    i know this isn't the thered for this but you want to Decrese the time aliens spwan by 20%<!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--> are you out of your mind have you ever been on the aliens side.... say if three or four aliens are already dead and then you die it takes like 2 mins to respwan with only one Hive. I think the spwan times are fine cuz it slow spwaning when you have one Hive But then Increses as you get two three hives I think you mean Incresesing

    Decreasing spawn time means they spawn faster.

    Each person respawning takes 15 seconds: 5 seconds of black screen and ten seconds in spectator mode. If a bunch of people get killed at once and you're queued up, you'll spawn ten seconds after the last person dropped in. Maybe this will prevent people from skulk rushing (it's much better to hide outside the doors and prevent their expansion; with a rush, either they'll survive the rush and build up their base while you all wait in line to spawn, or you'll end a game too quickly for it to be fun).

    Maybe this could be tied in as a movement tower bonus. More movement = faster respawn. This would provided a good reason to use em earlier.

    I'd say sensory tower, but it just doesnt make sense.

    Sensory towers could improve the accuracy of nearby OCs.

    The two chambers need to be improved so that we can see some (winning) variation from the d-m-s strategy.

    I think the alien spawn times are a bit long...which you notice most often when you only have one hive. It's mostly a early game problem it seems...once the game is really going and the aliens pick up a second hive it's usually not such a problem. However I feel it's more of an alien team problem...if the aliens rush they should expect the possibilty of a marine rush. If they are skilled they will do better stopping the marines from moving out to much. If they are being rushed at the hive the whole team should then return and cut the marines down. The problem arises when the aliens are running around getting cut down one or two at a time and then the hive is rushed and they continue attacking the marines only one or two at a time. Either they kil them or the marines kill the hive...All there really is to it. With the new setup where all aliens die without a hive it does help speed up the round cycle.
