<div class="IPBDescription">Making rines scream 'omfg, h4x!'</div> Wow, never realised just how useful those things can be...

I was playing a screw around game the other day, 2 marines vs me as an alien. We built up all hives/tech but we agreed not to build any ocs or turrets. The game was basically cat and mouse, where I was a lerk hunting down marines who had nothing but a knife. (they could respawn and stuff, and build crap everywhere, but I quickly tore down new constructions)

I spammed sens towers everywhere, and was very quickly surprised by my ability to always know where the marines were!

The "enemy is approaching" spam did really get on my nerves, but it was ok seeing as I always knew where they were and it usually didn't seem to trigger while I was fighting (either that or maybe I just really zoned out on my targets and didn't notice it anymore). It was liking motion tracking except it worked for longer distances, tracked em when they were standing still...

I was basically playing against perma-parasited marines... Ofcourse I also grabbed scent of fragwhore meaning that I could spore cloud and track em up to half a map away (no medkits allowed either, those marines were crapping themselves the whole game) if they got into areas where the sens chambers couldn't see them.

The above game was a heck of a lot of fun for all 3 of us, as they got a real survival horror experience and I got some good hunting time in as a lerk...

Sens chamber definately do have a use other than upgrades... I think we just need to a) tone down the "enemy is approaching" spam and b)judge whether or not knowing where they all are at all times is as useful as being able to teleport to your hive or heal offensive chambers...
