<div class="IPBDescription">Idontgotaclue</div> ok, I never realy use FTP stuff but I have some stuff that I want to get off of my friends server so I now need a good FTP client
things I am looking for:
1) Free (no adds, no regestering, just free please)
2) Windows based (yada yada windows sucks)
3) no spy ware, I have issues with it so please keep that in mind
4) will understand SimLinks (they guy has recursive simlinks that you need to beable to use, lol)

I seem yto remember stuf about spy ware in atleast one of those, any ones coments?

I run Ad-aware with Smart FTP, and there's no spyware in it. LeechFTP was created by a college student a few years ago and isn't even updated anymore, so I doubt there's spyware in it.

Bulletproof FTP has spyware, and I'll bet CuteFTP does too.

Oh yeah, a lot of people like WSFTP, but I haven't used it enough. Another option though.

Thanks, I am using Smart, seems to be decent (again I just have this strong hate of spy ware, not much reason, I am just odd)

Smart FTP is probably the best one there is.
WS_FTP is an excellent program too, but not as many features as Smart FTP (and doesnt look as nice)

CuteFTP is riddled with spyware, and is mainly designed for little grade six girls and idiots

WS_FTP is older than some of the people who post on these forums heh. Its shareware, but it'll allow you to do what you do. Really there are HUNDREDS of FTP clients out there. Hell if you know VB you can make your own very very very basic one in a matter of minutes :P
