Holding A Turret Factory

<div class="IPBDescription">With a Phase Gate</div> A simple way to cover a turret factory with a phase gate: build the phase right next to the turret factory on one side, that way if the skulk tries to attack on that side he will be teleported away. Obviously not to useful against ranged aliens.

    Or make it so its in the open but u have turrets all around it problem with this is that fades can get it so u need 2 stuff it somewhere good where fades can't get 2 it

    It'll be cheaper just to place a mine there?

    Not a bad idea - if you're already using the triangle turret formation, there's no reason why you couldn't get a phase gate in the firing lines as well.

    Of course, the skulk also has an even easier method of hit and runs if you do this. Teleport in right on a factory, hit it a few times, and run away to heal.

    As you can see in the above pic storming kharaa fall into the phase when they jump over the turrets. You'll also want a few turrets on the other side, behind the camera, next to the turret factory.

    I see the phase defense as a strategy, and an innovative one at that!

    But can your marines get through it easily? No point in having a phase gate in a location that's nearly impossible to get out of - you lose mobility as well as time.

    Yes, thats what I was thinking, skulks climb walls and can move along ceilings...
