I dont have any prob(not at this time at least) with hivesight being a toggleable function. However I would prefer hivesight to be somewhat transparent instead.
One advantage of playing NS on my below-specs machine is that my fps is so low that when attacking as a Skulk I never see the frame where the teeth obscure my view <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
Having to connect to every server at least twice to be succesful, running at single digit fps and needing three weeks to figure out that it's the .mp3 files that caused ns_nancy to be the only playable map for me may be a rather high price to pay for that though <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
Deal with the teeth. I did. I kept losing sight of my meals many times, but now I can take out 4 marines in clean concise bites. Less noise spam too for other marines to eat.
The problem is people HOLDING DOWN the bite key. If you actually keep it so you're just clicking whenever there's actually something IN YOUR MOUTH, seeing is not a problem. Same for shooting... I lose track of things when i'm really laying into a long burst of autofire, so there's really only two ways to do it: fire a burst and reaquire, or get yourself a "shooting range" and just unload whenever something moves in it (long hallways are great for this).
It's just a matter of learning how to handle the weapons, people. I don't want to THINK about how scary <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='asrifle.gif'><!--endemo--> would be against <!--emo&::skulk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/skulk.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='skulk.gif'><!--endemo--> if they could see just fine while opening up... that 50 round mag lasts a LONG time.

It really only becomes a problem in the vents and around tricky piping, out in the open it works fine...
