this is not a suggestion/idea thread
The command console, has 2000hp. (This is from an unreliable source, but we all know it has insane amouts of hp)
The command console cost 30rp.
Important : You can place them anywhere.
So what is a commander to do with a cheap block of metal that is for the most part unbreakable? There is a few things you can do.
Distraction
When assaulting a heavily WoLed alien encampment, place a CC behind the OCs before your marines get in sight. The OCs will all lock on the CC and your marines will be able to take them out without being fired at (can you say WELDER).
NOTES : You want to place them on the opposite side as your attacking force because OC's aim is pretty sad and you don't want stray acid hitting your marines.
Vent Plug
You can deny aliens access through vents by placing a CC. The best part of this tactic is that the marines don't even have to go build it. This will slow vent crawlers significantly and if they're about to break through, build another one.
NOTES : This will also block the marines from accessing the vents Via jet pak, so you usually want to put them by welds to buy enough time to actually weld the vent. Be sure to place it where the aliens can't just crawl over it.
Wall
One of the more costly tactics, similar to the Vent Plug, you can seal off whole Doors by stacking CCs.
NOTES : this is insanely costly so it is only recommended in a situation with plentiful resources, or you're about to lose.
Offensive Commanders
By building a CC in the front lines, you can have an emtpy chair, and an extra guy fighting. Be sure to spam the Health/Ammo before going to fight. Works Wonders for Marine rushes.
NOTES : this will mean all alien attacks are unnoticed because you don't have a alert for each little thing your buildings do.

Comments
A skulk bite does 70 damage, so it would kill a CC in less then 30bites, which isn't true.
Probably have around 8000 HP, like a hive.
BlueGhost
I don't think so, most of the other buildings are a lot weaker when unbuilt, like unbuilt sentries seem to die in 4 or 5 bites, instead of 20, or however many it usually takes.
I think unbuilt buildings half or a third of normal health, so building the command centers would be important.
Good in theory, but try to test out ideas before posting them as "tips."
