Hey guys,
a new Subnautica is out on consoles and I find myself back in this forum because this is how it is going with new releases these days.
I was exploring in the game and when I tried to return back to the capsule, the area around it didn't load. I tried to go back and in again, but it didn't trigger any loading. I entered the capsule and tried to save the game, but the saving process didn't finish (Item on the left upper corner blinking, save button still deactivated). I tried to move trough areas but this didn't help. One area still was loaded (the area I last "saw") but with no wildlife in it.
Took my last resort and killed myself ontop of the capsule, but the loading process afterwards just kept running on a black screen (some sound was playing in the background and I could even hear it changing the weather from normal to hail storm). Had of course to close application and the PS4 (at least that worked well without any issues) but of course when restarting the game, no savegame was made (cause it was the first manual save I was going to do on a new game).
As it seems usual for Subnautica bugs with me, of course my whole game process got lost with several hours going down the drain. At least some kind of autosaving would be nice.
But yeah, hope this was helpful and this issue will get fixed soon. I must say after the sad experience that was the original Subnautica an the xbox at its release and now having a similar experience after just three hours of playing the game on PS4, I am really not sure if I will get one of your games on release ever again. It has been nothing but frustrating (which is a shame cause obviously I like these games very much).
Greets,
Jan
