UNPLAYABLE: Severe Temp increase on C drive

After this update, my C drive is now going into the Overheated stated and hangs around 46c. This is not the normal range that drive hangs at during gameplay. Normal range is around 36c with Below Zero and all my other games.
Also, I don't use the C drive for my steam games. They are located on the D drive and both drives are SSD.
I will not continue playing the game until after this is resolved. I do not want to overheat the drive and degrade its life expectancy.
