Grid to mark up in build mode

Probably many players just don't bother with it. But I am a perfectionist, and I love to have all the items arranged beautifully at the sea base.
This is currently not possible in the game.
It would be nice to do something like a grid to mark up in build mode and "stick" objects to this grid.
It would be very convenient.

It would be nice, but I doubt they will add that feature. If you're on pc, there's a mod that may help. SnapBuilder - Snap-to-Grid for Subnautica

Thanks for the mod.
But if this can be done using the mod, then it can be done using the game engine? I have heard from many players, that they are pissed off by the fact that it is impossible to place objects evenly.
