1) The scanner room tags Fragments of tech that you already have. If you get close enough to the Fragment, it vanishes from the radar scope. It seems whatever map is used does not precheck or flag the fragments as already scanned. This makes it very difficult to use the scanner room to find unique fragments (if that was the intention).
2) The scanner room flags databoxes that have already been opened.

I haven't seen it posted, and I can't create a new post, but has anyone seen the sea monkey try to steal something above water? Game locks up and I ended up using alt-f4. (21847) Will post tomorrow.
