In Subnautica I can have an issue of re-acquiring my Seamoth, lifepod, Prawnsuit when I am close by - and I reflected upon it, after looking at some of the below-zero footage appearing on youtube.
You see There is this blind spot between when the HUD locator icon for the vehicles disappears and when the system believes the visibility of the vehicle should be really obvious. In the majority of conditions, this is sort of true, especially when you are swimming at the vehicle. But launching yourself out of the vehicles and you never stray too far away, you never get the HUD icon as a hint, in a darkened environment, and coming out of a tunnel/cave/wreck trying to track down the vehicles can be difficult.
Having a glowing OUTLINE say left 4 dead style.
Would help out.
Additionally I had the same issue with the cyclops. Dissorientated by the dark and exiting a cave system, there was no visible lighting to help guide a diver to the hatch, a similar complaint could be thrown at the hatches in the bases too.
As a final Quality of life fix, editing a beacon name. Can't that be fixed in the beacon management page, so we slip having to travel phyiscally to the beacon to edit it.
