save corrupts when I save in Lost River

This issue has been going on for years, back before Subnautica even fully released. once every few months, I try again. This problem has persisted even when uninstalling, reinstalling, and verifying the integrity of Subnautica. Nothing works. Every time, I play up until I get to the Lost River, save, return, and find that it's corrupted. I'm in the safe shallows next to my lifepod with nothing. This has happened countless times now. Please help.
