I saw a comment from someone saying something like that Subnautica takes place before NS2 and NS1 and stuff. What if... and this is just a theory... but what if the aliens in NS1 and NS2 are the Precursors?....

    No, they cant be, the precursors are basically dead by the time subnautica takes places, they put their minds into the clouds, the rest most likely died from kharaa.

    The question remains though, where did all this ancient technology beyond human capability come from? The Natural Selection Kharaa aren't technology users, they operate entirely on biology and rapid evolution/growth of their defense mechanisms.
