Make the cyclops powered by reactor rods. Still make it have the same charge. They are currently very useless in the game with the whole thermal or bio reactor.
I agree, we should have the option to make the Cyclops nuclear powered. Maybe not by default, but at least have a module that lets it use reactor rods to recharge the power cells.
i would not mind a new type of power cell that can store 500 energy.
and have similar crafting recipe as a power cell:
2-3 Uraninite Crystals 1 Silicone Rubber and 2 Lead.
and not rechargeable and have to be throwed in Nuclear Waste Disposal when empty.
I believe the nuclear reactor uses fission. It is not far fetched to assume it works similarly to our current fission reactors.
Our nuclear ships are, essentially, steam ships. They generate a lot of noise and are slightly troublesome to "switch" on and off. That's why most current sub development isn't going down the nuclear road.
However nuclear power provides unparalleled autonomy, which is also great for any ship.
That said, I never had any power issues with the Cyclops due to the thermal reactor and engine efficiency modules.
