Anisotropic Filtering not working. Please add an option to set AF ingame.

Anisotropic Filtering is not working ingame. Both on AMD and nvidia cards.
I've seen 1 or 2 people being able to force it through drivers on nvidia cards. No such luck on AMD cards. It simply isn't possible.
A fairly good showcase of the problem can be seen in the first 30seconds or so of this video of a Let's play series:
Looks at the floor in the distance, you can see the filtering cutoff moving with him and actually generating filtering artifacts.(harder to see in video)
There needs be an option to set AF ingame.
Currently it looks super blocky in your base and some parts of oceanfloor. It is VERY noticible while moving around, because you see the filtering cutoff points constantly moving with your view.
