I disagree. There's a difference between individual teamplayers and pack teamplayers. I play Kharaa similar to how one plays TFC - you "do your bit for the war effort", so to speak, rather than work in a pack the whole game.
It's a case of knowing what you're doing. Just last night, I played a game on eclipse with some very competent teammates. We were expanding into maintenence, the gorge there asked for some protection and we skulks all took up defensive positions along the routes to maintenence. When one side was attacked, the defending skulks converged on the the trouble spot and removed the threat.
My point is that they all knew what they should be doing when asked to defend a location, and they did it. It's not like with the marines where the commander gets marines to travel in packs specifically.
Anyway, skulks can, do, and HAVE to move alone in order to find the enemy and parasite them (or at least alert the team). Marines travel in packs because they have to to survive - a lone marine is a dead marine. But as a general rule, moving in packs doesn't work for the Kharaa. There are only a few circumstances when it does:
*When a Lerk assists Fades\Skulks in attacking an outpost. *When you're escorting a Gorge somewhere. *When you're organising a raid on an outpost or the base.
But it doesn't suit the Kharaa play style to travel in packs as a general rule. The Kharaa play best as a team of individuals who come together when needed, deal with the threat, and then resume what they're doing.
