Turtling Marines == Alien Victory

How Aliens win
Recently, I've thought about how ineffecient and ineffective most Marines commanders are. They spend too much time and too many resources focusing on resource nodes instead of going after Hives. I know, as an Aliens, that we will almost always win (unless we have a horrible gorge, which does happen) if I see the Marines dropping a TF by every resource node. By the time they have their 2nd remote resource node, if they even get that far, a decent gorge will have the 2nd hive finished and the Aliens will have Fades. Game over.

The ONLY way Marines can reliably win is if they go after Hives. That's why, as a skulk, I like to parasite and am content on waiting for the Marines to come to me or go towards a Hive.

    Yes. The only place you need turrets is in/right outside a hive, or maybe next to the Command Console if it's elevated, as in Hera or Caged. Move quickly. Grab a resource nozzle or two on your way to the first hive. Do not stop to set up turrets, the aliens will only take them down. Get that first hive, secure it, build a phase gate, and move on to the next one.

    By the way, this should be in Marine Strategy.

    yes, works like magic. One time the marines had set up a phase gate from spawn to mess hall in nancy, seems plain stupid then they fortified everything in between. We got a 2nd hive and we put all their stuff in the history books. If you ask me if you can get the marines to turtle, and get a 2nd hive, you have the game in your pocket.
