Idea For Temp Power in small bases

The power cells are for the vehicles and can be recharged at bases with the power cell Recharger. Why not have a power cell plug for running a Temp base power...so you can run a fabber or just have a oxygen generator so you can catch a breath and go on about what you wanted to do... Its just an Idea cause i've made bases deep and realized I missed something for power and had to head all they way back to fab a bit of copper wire or some such and return... was kinda wondering why using a power cell to power a base for a bit was never used.

It was at one point a power generator. It was removed when other power sources like the solar panel and thermal plant were added

This'd be cool. I think that it should also be used for backup power.

it could also be an idea that a solar panel (power source) alone is not enough but you also need some kind of big battery in the base for the storage because its hard for me to believe its just stored in the walls
