Simple ROE. You see enemy soldier driving a truck full of soldiers/ammo/weapons, you take him out.

Canadian snipers are ranked among the best worldwide. Might be because of the strong hunting traditions in our country. Nothing like dropping a moose from 600+ feet.

I believe all countries are allowed to use a .50BMG weapon, but that's serious overkill for a human being. IIRC, 7.62 and 5.56 are currently both NATO "standard" ammunition.

    I'm calling a <b>serious BS</b> on that one.

Give me a link/info:calibre, weapon, scope and weather conditions.

Furthermore, .50 is not used for anti-personnel purposes.

    Ephesians 6:13

13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,
15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Equipment sounds like from Diablo. I'LL TRADE 5 SOJS FOR THAT SWORD OF SPIRIT AND 20 SOJS FOR THAT BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS IF IT'S PRE 1.08.

I think the last time we discussed this the lot of us realized that organized religion was dumb. Give it a rest.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Actually, the last time we discussed this, the discussion went straight to hell because of the sudden influx of foum newbies who voiced their opinions in such rapid succession that Christians such as mysef and Josiah Bartlett Couldn't keep up with the onslaught of aetheism. I personally stopped checking the thread shortly after teh trailer release, much for that exact reason.

Also, I've never had any moderator's PM or warn me for sticking up for my religion, in all my months of foruming here, so I think it's OK by their standards as long as I don't go as far as to incite massive creed bashing. Personally, if you get this offended by my quoting my Holy book, first I feel compelled to ask you why, and then I feel the need to ask you to not read them if you have such a violent reaction to them.

Anyway, I don't want to corrupt this thread with the bible, of all things, but go right ahead and PM me.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Well, there are a few reasons that people might have an averse reaction to bringing theology into things. The most notable being that since christianity is easily one of the most-accepted faiths in the USA, they have plenty of chances to look at it, read about it, or have people with nothing better to do come to their front door and bother them constantly about joining their church. The last one is my own beef, having three seperate groups of 'good christians' coming to my house throughout the week as they're comitted to 'saving my soul'.

Personally, I go by a 'live and let live' view. But since these people see fit to try and constantly drag me into their theological pen*s measuring contest (as George Carlin put it, 'My God has a biger d*ck than YOUR God!') regardless of if I might hold a different set of beliefs, values, or ethics already... I get annoyed. I get a little more annoyed each time, until I have to be quite rude in getting them to leave. At one point I ended up turning things around on them, as I studied the bible before deciding that it held too many contradictions and logic holes, as well as reasonable explanations for 'miracles' to be taken as Truth.. I talked to them about their god, then switched the topic of conversation over to my own beliefs. They left EXTREMELY quickly, and I've now taken to doing it any time one of them drops by for a weekly 'salvation' attempt.

All this aside, it applies here as people wander into a topic to speak about that topic. To read about it. Getting bible quotes thrust in, as pertinent as they may be, trends toward annoying given the above justification of viewpoint. It's the 'net, and a forum about a game.. not a theological setting. I know I speak for a good number of people that we get ENOUGH christianity thrust at us in day-to-day life without having more put in when we try to relax.

    Incorrect.

    1) Various Countries like the USA, Sweden and more use the .50 cal for sniping/anti-personell.
    2) Barret M82A1 is in use and some other Rifles as well, more details should be found here <a href='http://www.specialoperations.com/Weapons/Light_Fifty/Default.html' target='_blank'>http://www.specialoperations.com/Weapons/L...ty/Default.html</a>

    More General Sniping Stuff ...
    <a href='http://www.specialoperations.com/Specialties/Sniping/default.html' target='_blank'>http://www.specialoperations.com/Specialti...ng/default.html</a>

In fact Carlos Hathcock used a .50 in Vietnam. He used a single shot modified M-2 .50-caliber machine gun with an eight-power Unertl Sniper Scope mounted at on the top, right hand corner of the machine gun's receiver. With this gun he recorded a successfull two-thousand yard kill.

Perhaps that posting of bible verses was a tad much, especially for a topic such as this, maybe I should be a bit more conservative.

However, there's no way I'm backing down when I am called into question for believing in god, or when God is called into question. Not because I feel it is my place to be the sole protector of said ideas, but because I believe it to be true. Naturally, I'm going to want to change your mind, because I honestly believe it to be true.

Anyway, I think we're cutting this thread to peices here, so if you please, if any further responses to my statements could be in the form of a PM, or a new thread, then by all means, it'd be appriciated, especially by those who come to this thread to talk about Canuk snipers, the purpose of this thing to begin with.

Oh, and I've heard hundreds of people claiming these contradictions, however, only a handful have actually presented me with a list of the problems with the Bible. I would appriciate it if you would do the same.

PM me, AIM @ Legionnaired (I'm on most of the day), or e-mail me at b_low1200@yahoo.com
