How do I make the cyclops more power efficient?

I have my cyclops at 700% power efficiency but when I drive it it consumes 1% power every second which is incredibly inefficient and I will run out of power in about a minute. Any way I can make it more power efficient?

Look for Lava Larva
That might be your problem

Yeah, it shouldn't be acting like that. If you have shields on, or active sonar, or silent running, it'll consume power faster, though.

I left my cyclops on silent running for like 5 minutes while i got out to gather resources and it went from 85% power to 0%... so yeah.

Also, if you've been playilng the game a long time, please be aware they changed how Battery and Power Cell Chargers work. It used to be these devices gave free energy... Now, they *DIRECTLY* transfer power from the Cyclops Power Cells to the batteries / power cells in the chargers. So, if you have either of these in your Cyclops, they would also explain why you are seeing a very large power drain.

Cool. Thanks for the warning about Silent Running using so much power. I didn't now that.

I noticed the active sonar ticking away my power rapidly, so I'm not surprised to hear Silent Running does the same thing.

Farm ion crystals if you can for ion powercells. it sextuples your max power.

Now the power efficiency module adds 300% and the cyclops's power efficiency is increased
