@garath
It does make sense if you focus upon what I highlighted when I quoted you. Which, by the way, you repeated yourself...
So, I'm saying they think they can maximize their profits by polishing the game so the 1.0 delivers a higher quality product in Jan 2018
I respectfully disagree.
You see, UWE already sold nearly 2 millions copies of Subnautica on steam alone. They already cashed on the game and, as the reviews of the game in its current state are very promising, whatever launch date they choose will certainly cash them some more.
What they want is to establish themselves as a brand. To be regarded as a company that doesn't just wants to get hold of your every penny, but as one who will deliver a fair product for a fair price.

Again, I think your post makes absolutely no sense.
I'm saying I think it is a great game that with a little polish will sells 2 million *MORE* copies. Personally, if they fix just a couple of key issues, I hope they sell 10 million more copies. I'm saying I think the game is so great that, with a little more polish, will sell a TON of copies. So, when I say I want them to maximize profits, I'm saying I think it is a great game by a great company. I think they deserve to reap the rewards of their labor and achieve those TENS of millions of sales.
So, I'm greatly saddened to hear you have such a negative opinion both of the game and the company to say you think the well is dry and that they won't sell any more copies of the game. That makes me very sad.

Can we agree to disagree here? As far as I can tell, you are both saying they are doing the right thing, which will turn out better for them in the long run.
