What Happened to the Power Glide?

It’s been... quite a long time since the power glide was removed. I still don’t understand why it was removed. Anybody know what happened?

No, the Powerglide that was left to just Creative mode. It would go 4x as fast as a Seaglide when the right mouse button was clicked. Eventually, because of some physics conundrum, the Powerglide violently rammed the player into the ground and every possible wall around.

It got removed because it would never work.

Aww. When it used to work, I found it actually useful in creative! Even if it slammed me into wherever it wanted, you could sorta steer it.

From a gameplay perspective I suspect a 'cargo glide' would've been more useful anyway.

Seaglide with a decent storage compartment? But since it goes in your inventory anyway, it wouldn't save space...
