PDA Shows Things I Haven't Scanned

So, I enjoy starting a new game and scanning things and discovering the new things for myself. However, after scanning various flora and fauna, I have come to realize that my PDA has (I think) all of the data for the flora and fauna and technical stuff (and everything else) downloaded and ready to read.
I never scanned Levi (reaper), I never scanned Casper (Ghost leviathan), I never even scanned Boney in this save! Why is the PDA showing these?
Also, the PDA is showing that there are various abandoned PDA's that I'm collecting that have been "REMOVED". Did the devs remove a bunch of those PDA entries or is this a glitch?
